By submitting an application, you commit to the following terms and conditions, ensuring the well-being and care of your new family member for its entire life.
Interviews:
- Participate in two video conference interviews, each lasting approximately 1.5-2 hours, scheduled one week apart.
Veterinary Care:
- Conduct an initial veterinary checkup and microchipping within 14 days of adoption and provide proof to Ranchito Rescate. The adopter is responsible for all veterinary expenses.
Heartworm Prevention:
- Continue heartworm prevention as advised by a veterinarian.
Treatment as a Family Pet:
- Treat the dog with affection, kindness, and compassion, ensuring no abuse or cruelty.
Exercise and Companionship:
- Provide at least 2 hours of daily exercise through multiple outings and ensure the dog has proper food, shelter, and fresh water. The dog is to live indoors.
Child Interaction:
- Educate children on respectful interaction with the dog, including no grabbing, hitting, or disturbing the dog's personal space.
Follow-up Appointments:
- Engage in our follow-up video conferences at specified intervals post-adoption.
Health and Happiness Monitoring:
- If the dog is not visibly happy or healthy during check-ins, additional video conferences may be required.
No Resale or Rehoming:
- Do not sell or give the dog up for adoption without Ranchito Rescate's approval.
Lost or Stolen Protocol:
- Report immediately to local authorities and Ranchito Rescate if the dog becomes lost or stolen.
Right Fit Clause:
- Contact Ranchito Rescate if the dog is not a fit and cooperate with their solution.
Transportation Costs:
- Transportation costs are not included in the base contribution fee and will be billed separately.
- Flight arrangements will not be made until contribution has been received.
Veterinary Contribution:
- Contribute $495 CAD towards the veterinary bill. This is non-refundable if the adoption is canceled.
